The James R. Ludlow School is located in the Center City Region of the School District of Philadelphia. Under the auspices of the District, we have been partnered with Edison Schools in order to carry out school reform and accelerate student learning. Ludlow, a K-8 school with approximately 340 students, offers a small community feeling while reaping the benefits of its location in the heart of Philadelphia.

Ludlow’s reading curriculum focuses on phonetic development and oral reading fluency in the early years and strategic reading and thinking in the later years. The mathematics curriculum was developed by the Chicago School Mathematics Project. A Montessori program will be introduced in the near future.
